People & Culture Coordinator
People & Culture Coordinator
Evergreen | White Rock, B.C. | Permanent, Full - Time
The Opportunity
At Baptist Housing, every day is an opportunity to help seniors experience life well in supportive communities. As a valued member of our team, you’ll build a fulfilling career in a collaborative environment where your growth and well-being are prioritized.
We’re looking for a People & Culture Coordinator who is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow their human resources career in a meaningful, purpose-driven organization.
This is a unique opportunity to work across both our Evergreen community and Ministry Office, gaining exposure to a wide range of functions while partnering closely with leaders and team members. If you're someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and making a real impact, this role offers both challenge and growth.
About The Role
In this role, you won’t just be supporting human resources; you’ll be a key part of how we create a positive and engaging team member experience.
You will:
- Own and support recruitment efforts end-to-end, from job postings to onboarding, helping us attract and retain great talent
- Be a go-to HR partner for team members and leaders, supporting day-to-day questions and team member relations matters
- Coordinate and improve HR processes including onboarding, benefits, scheduling, and payroll support
- Maintain accurate and confidential team member records, ensuring data integrity across systems
- Support team engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and workplace culture efforts
- Partner with leadership on HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute ideas and help shape a people-first, values-driven workplace
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role with exposure to both operational and strategic people & culture work. You’ll gain experience across multiple teams and environments, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within people & culture.
This role is on-site and shared between Evergreen in White Rock and the Ministry Office, offering variety and connection across the organization.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in human resources or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in HR coordination, administration, or a similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence working with HR systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Solid understanding of HR practices and BC employment standards
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience in healthcare or a unionized environment is an asset
- Familiarity with scheduling systems is a bonus
About You
You are someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and creating positive experiences. You’re approachable, reliable, and bring a strong sense of ownership to your work.
You’re comfortable navigating both structure and ambiguity; you can follow processes, but you’re also not afraid to suggest improvements. You communicate clearly, handle sensitive information with discretion, and build trust easily with those around you.
Most importantly, you want to be part of something meaningful, where your work directly supports teams who are making a difference in people’s lives every day.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive and well-rounded compensation package, including:
- Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000
- Employer-paid extended health and dental benefits
