We are currently seeking three Temporary Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at Village at Smith Creek. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to bring your clinical skills and compassion into a supportive, team-oriented long-term care environment.

About The Role 

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will support residents with complex health needs while contributing to a safe, respectful, and engaging community.

Key Responsibilities:
These temporary lines are evening-based rotations, offering consistency and meaningful impact while supporting coverage needs within the community. As an LPN, you’ll: 

  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, holistic care
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and contribute to individualized care planning
  • Support residents with complex care needs in a long-term care environment
  • Promote wellness through programs that enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic systems such as PointClickCare and eMAR
  • Uphold health and safety standards and infection prevention protocols
  • Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to Baptist Housing’s values

Available Lines:

We are hiring for three (3) Temporary Part-Time LPN positions, each with:

  • 0.9 FTE
  • Rotation: 4 on, 2 off
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Duration: Until return of incumbent

All positions are temporary until return of incumbent and are eligible for casual benefits.

Requirements 

  • Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program
  • Current registration in good standing with BCCNM
  • Experience in long-term care or gerontology preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to person-centred care and continuous learning

Compensation is aligned with the BC Nurses Union (BCNU) Collective Agreement (LPN wage scale) and includes:
